                             children's ministries

The psalmist declared, “I will sing of the love of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make Your faithfulness known through all generations.” (Psalm 89:1)

Our children carry with them the future of the church.  It is our mission through the children's ministry to teach, model, and encourage our children in the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.  A big part of this ministry is to love and support the children.

    sunday school

Children's Sunday school classes meet each week during the Sunday School hour of the regular Sunday morning service.  After participating in worship, children from ages 3 through Jr. High School are dismissed to their classes while the adults stay in the sanctuary for the sermon.  On several Sundays a month the Sr. High age attends a class during this time as well.  On Sundays when the Sr. High doesn't have class, they remain in the sanctuary with the adults for the presentation of the sermon.

    kid's choir

Children’s Choir (or KID’S CHOIR, as the children like to call themselves) meets regularly on Wednesday evenings as part of the church’s Christian Education night ministries.  We meet as a group for dinner (provided by the church) at 6:00 p.m.  The children are dismissed to the choir room from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  A wonderful snack time is provided for the children close to the end of the evening.

Past musicals have included “Hymnknowlogy” by Steven V. Taylor, “MK Christmas” by Kathie Hill, “We Like Sheep” by Kathie Hill, “Go, Go, Jonah” by Kathie Hill, and “Nic at Night”, also by Kathie Hill.  (The Choir Director really like Kathie Hill’s work), and "King of the Jungle" by Celeste Clydesdale.
