adult choir The SGCC adult choir has served the church for almost as long as we have met as a church. The choir provides special music approximately twice a month for our morning worship services, a full Christmas cantata for our Christmas Eve services, and special music selections for Easter Sunday. We rehearse each 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. following a potluck lunch in the fellowship hall. We have found that Sunday afternoons are an easy and excellent alternative to weeknight practices and our lunches together give us the opportunity for fun and fellowship, as well as strengthening our relationships within the ministry. The choir prepares a variety of musical styles for our church services; contemporary Christian music with complements of modern hymn arrangements, southern gospel, classical, and traditional classics. Our mission is to teach, equip, inspire, and move one another to commitment as God’s Holy Spirit works through our ministry, bringing rich blessings to one another, our congregation, and community. We discipline our talent in order to serve God more effectively. Above all, each choir member is encouraged to be “in tune” with God in mind and heart so that the voice will reflect the sincerity of their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As we blend our voices, we purpose to present a unified message of love, acceptance, joy and hope. see our calendar for upcoming events
