men's ministries Mission: To disciple men to become committed Godly examples in their family, church, and community by reaching them where they are and bringing them to where God wants them to be through strong and meaningful relationships. Vision: For men to live with passion and zeal for God, discovering their true identity in Him as He reveals His will and destiny for their lives. As one man sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 monthly prayer breakfast Our Men’s Prayer Breakfast began in March of 2001. Since that time we regularly meet on the first Saturday of each month for breakfast, fellowship, and prayer. It is a special time for men to get to know one another, be encouraged in their walk with the Lord, and pray together. We will occasionally have a special guest speaker. Come out and join us on the first Saturday of every month for breakfast at 7:30 am in the fellowship hall. annual men’s retreat – stoking the fire Each year Staunton Grace Covenant has its annual men’s retreat “Stoking the Fire”. The retreat got its name from the theme of our second retreat in 2003 with guest speaker Mark Altrogge. Stoking the fire sums up what the retreat is all about, a time for men to get away with other brothers to encounter God and revive the fire that can grow dim from time to time. These retreats have proved to be a great time of fellowship and a challenge to grow in our personal relationships with the Lord. The retreat runs from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. Our prayer is that the Men’s Ministry will help build up, encourage and unite men to live Christ-centered lives and provide opportunities for them to realize their part in the body of Christ. see our calendar for upcoming events
