International Students, Inc., exists to share Christ’s love with international college students. Since 1953, ISI has been training Americans to meet international students’ needs. These Americans befriend international students and help them adjust to American culture. The students, separated from family and friends, often feel lonely and isolated and are unsure about how to relate to America’s culture and its people. Many international students are never invited into an American home and miss the opportunity to have an American friend. ISI staff and volunteers are working on 677 campuses across the country to orient and acquaint international students to their new home and cultural experience. Staunton Grace has partnered with the Charlottesville group for many years.
