Ray of Hope is dedicated to serving children, communities, and the church of Africa. God has called us to reach the Kenyan coastal communities with His good news. Whether in cities or rural “bush bush” communities together with our co-workers and partners we desire to see the lives of people transformed holistically; the gospel of Jesus changing lives and communities.
Ray of Hope is a ministry pioneered by John and Habona Kisamwa who were missionaries with YWAM. They have led YWAM bases in Kenya, were national directors for YWAM Kenya, regional directors for YWAM Kenya, and have served as field directors for YWAM of Africa.
Ray of Hope Ministry was founded in 2002 to focus on serving children, and churches on the Kenyan coast. Both have had experiences in cross cultural mission, visited all the continents of the world preaching and teaching the Word of God. They are based at Ray of Hope Village Mombasa, Kenya.
Staunton Grace has sent several teams over many years to serve at Ray of Hope.
