Jesus came to bring freedom – not political or civil freedom but life-transforming spiritual freedom. Those who become his disciples live in and are set free by the truth. Freedom, truth, and our true identity are found in the cross and resurrection of Christ. Jesus reveals his identity as the true seed of Abraham and his followers as the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham to beget many children.
