worshiping Jesus Humanity’s chief and highest end is to glorify God and to fully enjoy Him forever. (Westminster Confession) God desires a worshiping people who will give him the glory that He only deserves. Worship is not only part of the Sunday morning service, but it is encouraged as a lifestyle. “Through Jesus, therefore let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Hebrews 13:15) True worship involves praising with our whole being, doing good, sharing with others, and living a life pleasing to our Father. We are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God…this is our spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1-2) Music in worship is God’s gift, given to strengthen and deepen our relationship with Him. On Sunday morning, a worship team of trained musicians leads the congregation in singing hymns and contemporary songs which are rich in Truth, Gospel centered, and sound in theology. The worship segment of the service is enhanced through special music and choir arrangements. The congregation is encouraged to actively participate in the worship. We believe God has called us, as a body, to declare His praises. “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him…” (I Peter 2:9) Worship provides the opportunity for ministry to take place among God’s people. Congregational worship allows for an atmosphere of prayer, for the Holy Spirit to work in hearts, and for freedom in the release of spiritual gifts.
